The JobSafe program has been embraced by educators, employers and the community as a program that helps prepare young workers to be safe on the job, by providing them with the tools they need to succeed in job safety. Together JSSS and its partners are helping ensure young workers have the right safety attitude, safety training and knowledge to stay safe on the job. Educating youth about workplace safety benefits everyone.

- In each of the three JobSafe modules, students are introduced to essential health and safety concepts. This enables them to acquire the knowledge and develop the skills and positive attitude necessary for everyday living at home, on the job and in their community.
- The indepth training provides a comprehensive understanding of workplace safety
- The information students learn may be their first exposure to workplace safety and it helps foster a positive attitude with personal responsibilities to remain safe.
- Students learn what constitutes a safe and healthy working environment by learning to identify safety hazards
- Students gain an understanding and acceptance of employers workplace safety expectations
- Students learn their workplace rights and responsibilities
- Award of the JSSS Certificate after successful completion of each module gives students a competitive advantage when seeking employment. Often the JSSS Certificates are the first awards that are employment related for most students, and allows them to start building their employment portfolio.
- Students earn one high school credit for each successfully completed course
